Five fellowships will advance medical research this summer
Five medical students will participate in the Foundation’s 2018 Summer Fellowship program. The program is dedicated to advancing medical and health research and education while also helping medical students gain research experience and/or a deeper understanding of how the medical community can work with government entities or other organizations to improve health outcomes. The Foundation’s annual Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction featured journalist and best-selling author David Sheff, whose presentation focused on his family’s struggle with his son’s addiction as well as his years of investigating the disease and treatment of substance use disorder. Read more.

John D. Riesch, MD, a longtime member of the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation Board of Trustees and past president of the Wisconsin Medical Society, passed away on March 26, 2018 at the age of 87. Read more.
